Since 1979, BIG4 Holiday Parks has been providing holiday destinations to families right across Australia. Today, it stands proud as one of Australia’s best-known travel brands boasting more than 150 camping and caravan sites.
When BIG4 met with Resurg, the franchisors were concerned that key data was not easily accessible to the franchisees. While franchisees could view their individual store sales, the current system did not allow franchisees to effectively:
The shortcomings in the system meant neither franchisees – nor franchisors – were able to make informed decisions around marketing, sales and future performance.
Resurg was tasked with building and delivering a completely mobile operational data app – one that was tailored and branded specifically for BIG4 Holiday Parks.
The brief was to ensure the system had the capability to personalise results for each business owner. It also had to include the relevant data that business owners could use every day to drive performance.
BIG4’s new mobile data system has been well-received with the top 10% of franchisees using the app each week.
It is estimated BIG4 will save more than 200 people days each year in field team preparation and visits, with a real cost in excess of $200,000.
